8:00 – 8:15 Registration & Welcome

8:15 - 9:30 Real Weed ID & Look A likes: Karen Laitala, Powell County Weed Coordinator & SW Area Coordinators & Assistant Coordinators

9:30-10:30 Water Quality/water testing activity: Clint Saunders, Nutrien Ag Solutions; Participants are asked to bring water samples from their mixing sites in the county/agency to be tested.

10:30-10:45 Break

10:45 – 11:45 Pesticide Drift/Situational Awareness: Rory Lewis, Helena Agri-Enterprises, LLC

11:45 – 12:30 LUNCH ON YOUR OWN

12:30 – 1:30 PPE/Pesticide Safety: Cecil Tharp, Pesticide Education Specialist

1:30 – 2:30 Understanding the Label & Pesticide Law: Matt Deaton, Montana Department of Agriculture

2:45 – 3:45 Calibration: What’s in it for You?: Christian Lehnert, Lewis & Clark County Weed Coordinator

4:00 – 4:15 Questions & Wrap-up (study worksheets will be available to take home)

8:00 – 10:00 Field First Aid: Mike Mooney & Lacy Decker, BLM Invasive Species Program Managers (This is not a certification course)

10:00 – 10:15 BREAK

10:15 – 11:15 Formulation Lab: Amber Burch, Beaverhead County Weed Coordinator & Kara Maplethorpe, Beaverhead County Assistant Weed Coordinator

11:15-12:15 UTV Safety/Daily Equipment Inspections: Dale Grose, Madison County Weed Coordinator

12:15 – 1:00 LUNCH ON YOUR OWN (study stations [formulation lab, pesticide law, calibration review] will be set up for anyone wanting additional help to review)

1:00- 2:00 Bear Aware: Kim Johnston, Field Project Manager for People and Carnivores

2:00-4:00 Review - Applicator Testing
